Hermetically Sealed Switch The production of hermetically sealed components requires stringent quality control metrics and attention to detail. The test and assembly process is much more complex than our standard design. The 100% leak testing ensures a precision high reliability component that meets Mil-Std 202 method 112E. These current production components have seen increased demand in mission critical applications. Renaissance Electronics RSMH series of switches offer the same dependability of our standard design in a Hermetic Laser Welded package. All seals are glass to metal or metal to metal.  These SPDT switches are laser welded in an argon environment (< 50 ppm moisture) and will operate at -55° to +85°C. There is no use of any epoxy on these switches. The maximum leak rate is 10-7 atm/cc-sec.  The RSHM series of switches are typically break before make, failsafe configurations. Angel Fire HXI, LLC Delivers (5) E-Band "Angel Fire" systems Haverhill, MA.  HXI, LLC a wholly owned subsidiary of Renaissance Electronics, delivered (5) special military variants of their popular Gigalink commercial E-band radio system last month. These systems will be deployed with the US Marine Corps operating in The Republic of Iraq to provide high capacity, point to point, transport of real-time imagery to commanders in the field. Project Angel Fire is a tactical situational awareness system for large-area urban environments. The system uses electro-optical sensor data and high resolution imagery to provide near real-time images to users on the ground. Multiple users can be served via wireless distribution and the data is archived for later forensic analysis. The current system utilizes an array of (6) 11 mega-pixel cameras, whose images are tiled and geo-rectified before being sent to the ground via a downlink. Images are then displayed in a viewer client and can be zoomed to half-meter resolution.   Angel Fire composite, high resolution image The HXI Model 605-90745X radio system operates in the E-Band frequency spectrum of 71-76GHz while complying with strict NTIA limits on frequency stability over temperature. Further, the hardened Angel Fire system architecture provides reliable service in extremely harsh operating environments. The December '08 deliveries represent ongoing support by HXI of the Angel Fire Project. To date, a total of 15 Angel fire systems have been supplied and operational reliability has exceeded all expectations.
