1) Change Your Profile

Doing the same thing repeatedly expecting different results is clearly not a hallmark of wisdom. Using traditional ferrite isolator/circulator profiles for new designs denies you the benefits of more recent re-engineered components.
Renaissance has several new packages with same (or improved) performance as their predecessors but with more refined, cost effective manufacturing processes. Make sure to ask a Renaissance sales specialist for our latest designs before purchasing older parts. In short, update your profile.

A recent example of this was a customer who requested a form-fit replacement for a circulator from another manufacturer. Renaissance had a standard part that met the same requirements but in a different package. By using a standard REC unit, the customer was able to halve his cost.

2) New Integrated Switch Matrices

Renaissance saw significant growth of the Integrated Switch product line with new applications and products in July. We are proud to supply our troops with IP-based battlefield redundancy where integrated switch products allow multiple wireless feeds to be integrated, selected and routed to eliminate downtime. Our ability to provide custom engineering and deliver working proto-types quickly have made Renaissance the preferred supplier.

3) SMH Series

Renaissance is currently expanding the available frequency range of its SMH Series of Isolators and Circulators, which incorporates Surface Mount Technology.

Presently, we offer the 3SMH6NA for the avionics frequency band of 4.2 to 4.4 GHz, commonly called the Radar Altimeter Band. The unit will allow avionics equipment manufacturers to incorporate Surface Mount Technology in their new designs, which will lead to improved system performance at a lower cost. Renaissance also offers the 3SMH6NB, which spans the 5.3 to 5.9 GHz band.

The SMH series will ultimately span the full 4 to 7 GHz. If you have an application with a requirement for Surface Mount Technology in this frequency range, contact Renaissance Sales for a quote.

4) Variable Attenuator Panel Line Expanded

Renaissance Electronics Base Station group is pleased to announce the release of new products to further enhance our variable attenuator panel range. These panels range from simple fixed or variable attenuators integrated into a box to complex units utilizing a combination of fixed and variable attenuators with combiners, filters, switches, isolators, circulators, dividers, couplers, delay lines, VCOs, detectors, duplexers, LNAs, and mixers.

These devices facilitate on-site adjustment of various receive and transmit links to ensure equalized signal strength, thereby reducing interference noise.

5) Summer Holiday Shutdown

Renaissance recently returned from its annual two-week July holiday shutdown. The break provides employees a chance to unwind and come back refreshed and geared up for the remaining half of the year.

During the break, Renaissance employees indulged in a wide variety of activities. While many chose to take it easy and spend time with family and friends, others traveled to various parts of the world. From Montreal to Lake Tahoe, Paris to Denver, Renaissance employees could be found in various locations during this period of relaxation.

We returned to work Monday, July 16th, refreshed and rejuvenated, ready for a fun filled and productive second half of the year.
