1) MEMS Switch Innovation—A Renaissance and MIT Collaboration |
|
Renaissance is pursuing the
development of state-of-the art MEMS switches for high end integrated
systems applications. Renaissance is working with scientists and engineers
at MIT who have developed 900 MHz to 40 GHz SPST, SPDT and SP4T switches
with negligible dispersion. The switching times on these switches is on the
order of 10-20 microseconds and handle power level on the order of 5 watts.
These MEMS switches can provide solutions for applications that require
broadband frequency performance, very high reliability, and compact size.
Renaissance is moving forward to develop prototypes for product concept
verification.

8-WAY COMBINER for Military and Commercial Applications |
|
Renaissance Electronics has
developed a new 8-way waveguide power combiner (P/N 10WR90NA) for commercial
and military applications. This waveguide solution provides for low loss and
high power handling, along with precise control of the amplitude
distribution of power. Combining several transmitter sources into high power
coherent output signals, and made of a brazed aluminum alloy, the combiner
is resistant to corrosion and can operate in temperatures ranging from –55ºC
to+70ºC.
Another unique feature of the combiner is it will work at 95% relative
humidity conditions for an extended period of time. The combiner is also
designed with a low VSWR(1.15:1) creating a better match to environmental
operating conditions.

3) Renaissance Electronics’ New Approach in Delivering Customer
Solutions |
|
Renaissance
Electronics is developing a process to create new low-cost, high
volume products for a specific market/application environment.
During this process, we will be creating a new reduced-time
sequence of stages to analyze a specific market and needs of
that market; the results will identify the best low-cost, high
volume product best suited to the targeted marketplace and to
Renaissance Electronics’ design and manufacturing capabilities.
Each product launched through this new process will be the
lowest-cost product of its kind available to the market and
Renaissance is committing the resources to have shelf-stock for
each item. This will provide our customers with the low-cost
product price and immediate availability. In most cases product
will be shipped in about 24 hours.
Our initial new product launch is slated for this month, March
2006, when we will be releasing a new model series—the R-Series.
This launch will feature four (4) Ferrite Isolators in our new
R-Series. Keep your eyes and ears open for our soon to be
released announcement.

4) Concentric Cells Attenuator Panel – 15C2NC |
|
A Renaissance
Electronics attenuator has been recently approved for use in a
new effort by a major cellular provider in order to create
concentric cells in their urban cell sites.
This unit is mounted on the back of a 19” rack and has triple 3
dB attenuators. Its unique design allow for it to dissipate 50
watts per port without taking valuable rack space. Through the
use of fins, this unit dissipates the heat while maintaining a
temperature below 40º C. Renaissance can offer this unit in many
different configurations handling any modulation scheme or power
level from DC – 2.5 GHz.
This approval shows Renaissance’s continuous effort in order to
provide cellular providers with new units in order to help solve
all of their capacity and/or coverage problems.

5) Turnkey Solution for an ATE Switch Requirement |
|
Renaissance Electronics has developed a
DC -18GHz switch matrix (P/N 18A7NB) customized for an ATE
application. This matrix has four equipment RF ports and two DUT RF
ports. Controlled by six
momentary push buttons, the matrix contains SP4T and SPDT latching
switches. This simple desktop matrix provides an overall insertion
loss of 1.5dB and isolation of more than >55dB. This matrix is
housed in 9”x11”x3.75” enclosure.
